🫖 Join us at JIATÉ Brussels for a unique sensory journey through the world of Taiwanese tea. This session focuses on one of Taiwan’s most fascinating innovations — GABA Oolong, a tea known for its smooth, rich body and calming effects.
You'll taste several distinct GABA Oolongs — from lightly roasted to deeply oxidized — and discover how subtle differences in elevation, terroir, and processing techniques shape their aroma and flavor. To enhance the experience, each tea will be paired with traditional Taiwanese lǔwèi (滷味) — savory marinated snacks — creating a balanced and flavorful pairing.
This workshop offers more than a tasting: it's a deep dive into Taiwanese tea innovation, pairing culture, and the art of slow appreciation.

Lorela’s journey into tea began in 2011, and her turning point came in a small Prague teahouse where she was served a life-changing cup of Chinese tea. From that moment, her mission became clear: to introduce others to the rich diversity of tea and the stories of the growers behind each leaf.
“Tea is more than a drink — it's a bridge to culture, connection, and creativity.”
“I dream of a world where a restaurant menu offers aged oolongs and single-origin puer alongside fine wines.”
“Each tea holds a story worth telling — and tasting.”
Today, Lorela works to bring more visibility to high-quality tea and to connect consumers directly with tea farmers. Her workshops encourage people to slow down, savor, and discover the endless possibilities of tea beyond the ordinary cup.
